I remember it being a good book but i never got around to writing a review when i read it, so, for now at least, it is assigned to “The Boneyard”.

Another anthology i picked up along the way.

Another temporal sci-fi tale, which, like Temporal Contingency, Joseph does incredibly well — he just seems to have a way of avoiding the mind fucks that most sci-fi writers get you into with this sub-genre.
This short was originally available in the Orphans in the Black Anthology, then made available to Joseph’s Patreon subscribers and now also in the collection Paradoxes and Dragons.

An anthology that is no longer available on Kindle. Luckily, for me, it remains stored in my Kindle account so i can dip into it for a quick short when the mood takes me.
I’m sure you could find a second hand paperback on eBay if you want a copy, or click on the picture to go to the Amazon page and a second hand copy may appear on there also.

A rather enjoyable detective story set on a generation ship (which by their nature are always quite dystopian) carrying the last of humanity to a new planet after the Earth gets destroyed after finding itself in the path of a wandering black hole.
This was one of those books that i just flew through, which is always a good sign of how well something is written and how well it perks up my interest in it.
So yeah, all good, and there’s another two books to follow in the trilogy which i’m looking forward to.
The next book is Trident’s Forge.

It got thrown into my path somewhere along the way and i couldn’t resist that cover. So i had a look at what it was about and just had to buy it.
12 writers writing 12 stories over 2382 pages is good value for 99p, but the catch is that they’re all prequels or, first books in, a series. But that’s not too bad as it gives me a cheap way of trying out a few writers that maybe i wouldn’t have done and you never know what you may find. The Given is certainly a gem and i’m really enjoying that series immensely.
Sadly, i don’t think it’s available any more.
