I think we can all find space some more perseverance in our lives – i certainly wouldn’t mind a bit more.

I really do need to have a non-fiction binge at some point.
A while ago i got into a rather good period of alternating between a non-fiction and a fiction book – and i got through quite a bit of non-fiction that i otherwise wouldn’t have read. That’s my biggest reading problem, i so love reading fiction and i’m so excited about all the good stories i have lined up waiting that i just never get around to reading all the good non-fiction that i buy unless i force myself. So i’m thinking that my previous rule… ‘i can’t start another fiction book until i’ve read a non-fiction one.’ is definitely going to have to come back to clear some of the backlog.
The crazy thing is that i will enjoy it once i get into it.

All in all i quite enjoyed the first Feyland trilogy and so i’ll definitely give the second trilogy a good read as soon as i collect them all.

It was free and i liked the cover (dark and dystopian), the synopsis sounds interesting and it’s got some good reviews — so why not put it in “The Waiting Room” and see if i can get the rest of the series for a bargain?

Just one of those books that had to be put on ‘The Pile’ when it came up for 99p.

A rather enjoyable detective story set on a generation ship (which by their nature are always quite dystopian) carrying the last of humanity to a new planet after the Earth gets destroyed after finding itself in the path of a wandering black hole.
This was one of those books that i just flew through, which is always a good sign of how well something is written and how well it perks up my interest in it.
So yeah, all good, and there’s another two books to follow in the trilogy which i’m looking forward to.
The next book is Trident’s Forge.

It got thrown into my path somewhere along the way and i couldn’t resist that cover. So i had a look at what it was about and just had to buy it.
12 writers writing 12 stories over 2382 pages is good value for 99p, but the catch is that they’re all prequels or, first books in, a series. But that’s not too bad as it gives me a cheap way of trying out a few writers that maybe i wouldn’t have done and you never know what you may find. The Given is certainly a gem and i’m really enjoying that series immensely.
Sadly, i don’t think it’s available any more.

I do love a good AI story — i hope this is as good as it looks.
Haven’t read any of Pippa’s stuff before, so i’m heading into a new experience with this. Will report back when i get around to reading it.

In all my years i’ve never gotten around to reading any of Noam’s stuff, so when a load of his books got put on offer for 99p i thought i’d give this a go at some time in the future, paid my pennies and threw it on ‘The Pile’.
You never know, i just may learn something i didn’t know i didn’t know.
